Assistant Manager – TCD

Purpose/Objective

For Doing Contracting of Logistics for KCL & KCTL

Key Responsibilities of Role

Service Order Planning, Sourcing & Vendor Development. . Understanding of SLA for different sites and specific plant related activities of Logistics requirements . Maintaining the list of all Major Contracts & timely Renewal of existing contracts without hampering plant operations. . Development of local vendors/contractors and cost reduction initiatives thru alternate vendor developments. . Collaboration: Work closely with the operations, marketing & Logistics teams and product development teams to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction. . Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for the company. . Evaluation of vendors by facilitating the technical evaluation with user team and then select the vendors in most cost-effective manner and finalize the Contracts. . Strong technical knowledge in logistics and supply chain management. . Rate & Contract finalization for Inbound and outbound material into the plant. Both Fiest Leg, Second leg and Multimodal. . Finalization of Logistics contracts for Finished goods such as Copper Cathodes, Copper Rods, Copper Cast bars, Copper Tubes. . Finalization of Logistics contracts for by products such as Sulphuric Acid, Copper Slag, Industrial Gases (LIN/LOX/LAR) in cryogenic tankers. . In depth knowledge of multimodal logistics systems and finalization of domestic as well as international logistics contracts. . Import & Export (EXIM) Knowledge. . Finalization of Freight Forwarder and Appointment of CHAs. . Account Reconciliation with major Vendor Partners. . Surveyor Appointment at Load port and discharge ports. . Skill in appointment of Multimodal Logistics Contracts. . Renewal of Logistics contracts on timely basis. . Cost reduction initiatives for freight cost reduction. Deploying new age technical methods for better tracking of Inbound and Outbound for zero loss of material thru theft pilferage other damages in transit Solving any litigations arising between company and vendor partner on contractual terms mis obligations or violations on amicable manner. Else take up legal recourse. Benchmarking the category performance across the industry and internally among other categories and remain current with market trends through relationships with Vendors partners and market experts Ensure the payment commitments with outside parties are met by coordinating with finance and division coordinators. . Any other work assigned to you on time to time basis

Technical Competencies

Qualifications and Experience

BE/B-Tech/Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Metallurgical/Chemical Engineering), MBA, Bsc-MSc, PGDMM in SCM
