Purpose/Objective


    The Lead – Store Inventory Management in the Techno Commercial Department will be responsible for managing the airport’s inventory and store operations with a focus on cost optimization, vendor coordination, and commercial compliance. This role bridges technical requirements with commercial execution, ensuring efficient material handling and procurement support for airport operations.

Key Responsibilities of Role


    - Inventory & Store Management:- Oversee receipt, storage, and issuance of materials and equipment. - Maintain accurate inventory records using ERP systems and ensure timely reconciliation. - Define SOPs and guidelines for store management, inventory control and scrap management - Contribute to the design and implementation of standard systems/templates/ processes for inventory management - Manage the receipts of inbound material; Ensure adequate documentation is maintained for the materials procured from the source of supply and the materials delivered to the warehouse/ stores - Track inventory deployment i.e. delivering or releasing an inventory item or entity to targeted end users - Oversee timely and quality delivery of required materials - Ascertain stacking and storage of inbound deliveries including preservation - Track the availability of different MRP materials/products and manage inventory levels at the warehouse/ stores - Define and manage the process for material issue to the user and timely updating inventory level after issue of goods - Ascertain record keeping in SAP (documents and other details of material issues, material procured, etc.) - Ensure that the invoices and supporting documents are forwarded to Head accounts (HAC) through Document Control Cell - Review and submit desired MIS to Site TC Head /BU TC Head - Identification and execution of corrective actions - Routine Inventory Control and Management- Monitor & resolve any discrepancies between electronic records that represent the inventory and the physical state of the inventory - Monitor shelf life of inventory and classify the whole of inventory based on criticality [like Vital Essential Desirable] and ageing (such as slow-moving inventory (SMI) / Non-moving inventory (NMI) / Normal Spares) - Liquidation and Disposal (Scrap or Write-Off) Of NMI & Surplus Inventory- Lead the process of identification and liquidation of non-moving inventory (NMI) - Carry out liquidation of assets (identified by concerned user) and other material including NMIs to be scrapped and ensure optimal price through Scrap management committee discussions - Arrange approval of asset-scrapping or asset write-off as required; Oversee implementation of asset scrapping or asset write-off basis DoA - Risk Management- Lead the process of identifying all risks for stores, inventory control, liquidation and disposal (using master list of procurement risk, supply market analysis, long term procurement plan, annual procurement plan and project risk register) - Provide support in evaluation and prioritization of the identified risks on their likelihood, impact and controllability - Contribute to the preparation of risk mitigation plan and update of the category risk register - Techno-Commercial Coordination:- Collaborate with procurement and engineering teams to align inventory with project and operational needs. - Support technical evaluations and commercial negotiations related to inventory items. - Vendor & Contract Management:- Coordinate with suppliers for timely deliveries and resolve discrepancies. - Ensure compliance with contract terms, pricing, and delivery schedules. - Team Leadership:- Supervise store personnel and ensure adherence to safety and operational protocols. - Train staff on inventory systems and techno-commercial procedures.

Qualifications and Experience


    - Bachelor’s Degree in science, commerce, supply chain management, business administration or related area. Prefer certificate or diploma in inventory/materials management - More than 14 years of experience in managing stores, inventory management and scrap management. Experienced in managing small to mid-size teams for more than 3 years - Experience in handling project / O&M stores. - Exposure to inventory classification & control methods - Exposure in 5S process - Experience of working with SAP - Material Management Module/ SAP Material Master/OOracle, SD module for waste and scrap management.
