Logistics Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Coal Logistics Manager to manage the end-to-end movement of coal from mines to delivery points. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in coal logistics, coordination with transporters, and handling documentation related to dispatches.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, monitor, and execute coal dispatches from mines to destinations.
• Coordinate with transporters, weighbridges, mines officials, and customers for smooth logistics operations.
• Track truck movement, maintain dispatch schedules, and ensure timely delivery.
• Maintain logistics records, delivery challans, weighment slips, and trip reports.
• Monitor stock levels at mines/yard and update daily MIS.
• Handle railway rakes (if applicable): indenting, loading, tracking, and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with safety norms, statutory guidelines, and coal transport regulations.
• Resolve logistics delays, discrepancies, and weighment issues.
• Optimize transport cost and improve turnaround times.
• Liaise with internal teams (operations, finance, HR) for billing and contractor coordination.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Graduate in any discipline (Logistics/Supply Chain preferred).
• 2–6 years of experience in coal or mineral logistics.
• Strong knowledge of coal dispatch procedures and transportation systems.
• Proficiency in documentation, MIS reporting, and Microsoft Excel.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work in field operations and manage transporter relations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with railway logistics and rake handling.
• Knowledge of government portals (e.g., CMPFO, e-auction dispatch documentation).
• Familiarity with weighbridge operations and yard management.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹11,984.65 - ₹57,700.37 per month
