Job Description

SUMMARY

About Company : US MNC into Construction Chemical manufacturing. One of the trusted brand in India into CC division.

Position :AM Procurement

Location : Sripurumbudur, Chennai

Summary:

Handle procurement of construction chemicals such as admixtures, waterproofing, repair materials, sealants, coatings, grouts, flooring chemicals, etc.

Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors to ensure cost-effective sourcing.

Manage RFQs, RFPs, purchase orders, and contract finalization.

Coordinate with production, quality, and project teams to ensure timely material availability.

Review technical data sheets (TDS), MSDS, and ensure materials meet project specifications.

Maintain accurate procurement records using SAP (MM module preferred).

Monitor inventory levels and support supply chain planning.

Maintain strong supplier relationships and conduct periodic supplier performance evaluations.

Ensure compliance with quality and safety standards across materials procured.

Requirements

Requirements:

Bachelor of Engineering (B.E/B.Tech) in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering Or B.SC
4-10 years of procurement experience in the specialty chemicals, coatings, or construction chemicals industry.
Proven experience with SAP procurement modules.
In-depth technical understanding of resins, epoxies, polyurethanes, pigments, fillers, solvents, sealants, and industrial coatings raw materials.
