Job Description

As the Assistant Manager Procurement at Amwoodo Eco Products Pvt Ltd, you will play a crucial role in managing and executing both domestic and international procurement activities. Your responsibilities will include sourcing goods and services at optimal cost, quality, and delivery while ensuring compliance with regulatory and company policies. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders, suppliers, logistics, finance, and customs teams to ensure the smooth flow of goods, minimize costs, and mitigate risks. Key Responsibilities: - Identify, evaluate, and select domestic suppliers for materials, components, and general goods and services. - Raise accurate purchase orders and monitor supplier performance including quality, delivery, cost, and compliance. - Collaborate with internal teams to define and meet procurement needs effectively. - Source and evaluate international suppliers, manage import logistics, and ensure compliance with import/export laws. - Develop sourcing strategies, perform market research, and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements. - Work with demand planning teams to forecast material requirements and maintain inventory levels. - Draft, review, and manage supplier contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and standards. - Liaise with internal stakeholders to align procurement plans and communicate delivery status and potential delays. - Manage procurement systems, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulations. - Supervise junior procurement staff, provide guidance, and ensure team targets are achieved. Qualifications & Skills: - Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or relevant field. A Master's degree or professional certification is a plus. - 4-7 years of experience in procurement/sourcing with exposure to domestic and international purchasing. - Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. - Good understanding of supply chain logistics for imports/exports and familiarity with procurement best practices. - Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP/P2P systems, and strong analytical skills. - Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work under pressure. - Good stakeholder management skills and knowledge of cost modeling and total cost of ownership. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): - Savings achieved - On-time delivery performance - Quality performance of suppliers - Inventory turns and stock-out incidents - Compliance metrics - Supplier performance and reliability - Process/cycle time of procurement Travel/Other Requirements: - Some domestic travel and occasional international vendor visits or trade show attendance may be required. - Flexibility to work with different time zones for international suppliers.
