Job Summary:

The Assistant Manager – Payroll Management will be responsible for overseeing accurate and timely payroll processing, compliance with statutory regulations, and ensuring smooth coordination between HR, Finance, and employees. The role requires strong knowledge of payroll systems, statutory compliances, taxation, and employee benefits management.


Key Responsibilities


  1. Payroll Processing
  • Manage end-to-end payroll for all employees on a monthly/weekly cycle.
  • Validate salary inputs including attendance, overtime, leave, incentives, reimbursements, arrears, and deductions.
  • Ensure accuracy in salary disbursements and coordinate with Finance for timely payments.


2.Compliance & Statutory Management

  • Ensure adherence to statutory requirements such as PF, ESIC, Professional Tax, LWF, Income Tax (TDS), and other applicable labor laws.
  • Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual statutory returns.
  • Stay updated with changes in payroll-related legislation and implement necessary changes.


3.Audits & Reporting

  • Support in internal and external payroll audits.
  • Prepare payroll MIS, variance reports, and dashboards for management review.
  • Reconcile payroll data with accounting and financial records.


4.Systems & Process Improvement

  • Work on HRMS/Payroll software to ensure accurate and efficient payroll management.
  • Ensure confidentiality and security of payroll data.
