- Planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance
- Responding to breakdown
- Diagnosing faults
- Repairing equipment
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation
- Creating maintenance procedures
- Managing stocks of supplies and equipment
- Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice maintenance vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance
- Contribute to new business initiatives and projects and review and communicate the impact on Maintenance activities
- Ensure that EHSMS requirements are established, implemented, and maintained in accordance with ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 guidelines
- Define/communicate roles, responsibilities, and authorities for key EHSMS positions
- Report on the performance of the EHSMS to the Plant Manager / EHS Coordinator
- Authorize the EHSMS Manual and other relevant EHSMS documentation
- Provide direction for setting objectives and targets
- Provide support to close-out preventive measures
- Identify and have access to legal and other requirements
- Identify and maintain information related to environmental aspects, including significance determination
- Identify and maintain hazard and risk identification and risk control procedures and registers
- Develop proposed objectives and targets
- Provide direction for the development and implementation of EHS programs
- Oversee the tracking of environmental, health & safety performance and regulatory compliance
- Support EHSMS training and awareness
- Maintain the EHSMS Manual and other EHSMS documentation
- Maintain EHSMS records management and document control
- Assist in maintaining emergency preparedness and response procedures/plan(s)
- Prepare information for the EHSMS Management Review
