Job Summary:
The Assistant Manager – Exports will be responsible for managing export operations, driving international sales, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements for FMCG or frozen food products. This role requires coordination between supply chain, quality, and sales teams to ensure timely and efficient export processes while expanding the global footprint of the brand.
Reporting to: Head – International Business
Key Responsibilities:
1. Export Operations Management:
Oversee the end-to-end export process for frozen food and FMCG products including order processing, documentation, shipment scheduling.
2. International Client Management:
Maintain and strengthen relationships with overseas distributors, importers, and clients to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
3. Compliance & Documentation:
Ensure adherence to international trade laws, export regulations, and product-specific certifications (such as food safety, health certificates) relevant to frozen goods. Prepare and verify all export documentation including invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and customs declarations.
4. Sales Team Management
Manage the team of Business Development executives who are responsible to handle business in allocated regions.
5. Sales Support & Market Expansion:
Support export sales strategies by identifying new markets, analysing competitors, and assisting in negotiations for pricing and contracts. Guide the team accordingly.
6. Cross-functional Collaboration:
Liaise with production, quality assurance, supply chain, and finance teams to ensure seamless order fulfilment and inventory management for export.
7. Reporting & Analysis:
Track export sales performance, prepare reports on shipments, revenue, and market trends, and provide insights for continuous improvement.
8. Team Support:
Mentor junior export coordinators and support the export team to enhance efficiency and compliance.
Qualifications & Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in business, International Trade, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
· Minimum 5 years of experience in exports within FMCG and frozen food sectors.
· In-depth knowledge of export sales, documentation, inco terms, customs procedures, and regulatory requirements for food products.
· Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
· Proficient in MS Office and export management software.
· Ability to work under challenging enviornment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹65,000.00 per month
