Job Description #KGS Responsibilities Your responsibilities will include: Leading workstreams/ projects on commercial due diligence engagements and other strategy consulting engagements, including operational due diligence, value creation, business plan reviews, growth strategy, performance transformation, etc. Designing and executing commercial analysis e.g., market analysis, market sizing, business model analysis, competitive benchmarking, survey analysis, strategic rationale and fit, etc. Carrying out high quality research, interviews and data analysis and help clients assess the impact of change in market dynamics on their organizations Developing business cases and business plans underpinned by robust financial / data analysis in support of strategic initiatives Leading teams of 1-2 Associate Consultants / Consultants on engagements Producing client-ready deliverables within agreed timescales, briefing the Engagement Manager accordingly Working collaboratively with KPMG UK team in the development of and delivery of recommendations Managing client communication and engagement on projects Actively supporting Sector / Proposition Lead in building and managing the relationship with key UK stakeholders Supporting UK Partners / Directors in business development activity, through development of proposals and sector insight material Contributing to thought leadership and knowledge management to support practice development Responsibilities Mandatory technical / functional skills: Prior experience (4–5 years) in commercial due diligence / operational due diligence/ value creation Ability to lead small teams and manage people on strategy consulting projects, including coaching and mentoring junior team members Strong numerical, analytical and strategic thinking skills and sound commercial acumen Efficiency in MS Excel (including data analysis) and MS PowerPoint is must Proficiency in usage of research databases such as S&P Capital IQ, Refinitiv and Euromonitor Strong report writing and reviewing skills, with an appropriate focus on attention to detail, conciseness and value to the client Ability to effectively engage and manage relationships with senior stakeholders – both internal (KPMG UK) and external (clients) Goal driven – should be focused on helping clients meet their requirements – by developing answers and solutions when client requirement remains unclear / changes, and by providing relevant insights and key questions to fit the client objective Preferred Technical / Functional Skills Experience in Consumer Goods and Retail sector Experience with data analysis & visualization tools such as Alteryx / Power BI Ability to lead large project teams on strategy consulting engagements Ability to work well under pressure, learn quickly and leverage skills in new situations Behavioural / team skills Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to demonstrate personal impact, flexibility, drive and commitment Personal drive and positive work ethic to deliver results within tight deadlines and in demanding situations Strong team collaboration skills, fostering a cooperative and productive work environment Flexibility to adapt to a variety of engagement types, working hours and work environments and locations Qualifications Education / professional qualifications MBA / Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited college/university preferably with major in Finance / Strategy Prior Experience 4–5 years experience in Commercial Due Diligence, Operational Due Diligence, Deal Value Creation gained in either corporate roles, strategy consulting or similar analytics/ deal experience in the relevant sector Show more Show less
