Job Title: Assistant Finance Manager Location: Mumbai office Department: Finance Reports To: Directors Educational & Professional Requirements Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline. Strong understanding of financial management, especially statutory requirements and obligations. Excellent problem-identification and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and under pressure. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to prepare meaningful financial reports and communicate effectively with management and auditors. Proficiency in Advanced Excel and SAP (mandatory). Job Responsibilities 1. Reporting Directly report to the Directors and provide regular updates on financial activities and fund positions. 2. Payments Management Handle utility and statutory payments such as electricity, stamp duty, import/customs charges, etc. Oversee tax-related payments including GST, TDS, and other statutory dues. Manage company and personal credit card payments as required. Process salary disbursements and maintain records for salary-related compliances. Assist in owner family banking transactions and related statutory work. 3. Banking Operations Manage activities related to bank limit renewals, stock statements, and other mandatory bank reports. Handle Import LC openings and Export LC discounting. Coordinate PCFC facilities for export operations. Manage foreign currency transactions (inward and outward remittances). 4. Statutory Coordination Liaise with Chartered Accountants (CA) and Company Secretary (CS) for filings with ROC and other statutory authorities. Ensure compliance with financial and regulatory reporting standards. 5. Refunds & Claims Handle GST refunds for exports, DGFT claims, and other reimbursement processes linked with statutory departments. 6. Cash & Expense Management Manage petty cash and ensure timely reimbursement. Book bills and expenses for the Head Office and ensure proper documentation. 7. Banking for Group Entities Oversee banking operations for the company, holding companies, and directors’ accounts. 8. Audit & Reporting Provide data and clarifications to auditors as required. Prepare and present Periodic MIS Reports on fund positions, utilization, and other financial insights. Support budget creation and identify variances versus actuals. 9. Miscellaneous Undertake any additional tasks or projects assigned by management. Key Attributes High level of integrity and confidentiality. Strong analytical and financial acumen. Proactive attitude with the ability to take ownership of assigned responsibilities. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
