Assistant Design Manager

Required Experience & Skills

• Minimum 4- to 5 years of experience in mechanical design, mandatory experience in Car Parking Systems.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks (2D & 3D).
• Hands-on experience with fabrication drawings, BOM preparation and tolerances.
• Good understanding of structural members, load paths, and mechanical mechanisms.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, sheet metal design, and fabrication practices.
• Ability to handle design projects independently and meet deadlines.

Job Description –

We are looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our organization and play a key role in designing and managing mechanical car parking system projects. The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end design execution, coordination with internal teams, and ensuring timely delivery of optimized, safe, and manufacturable designs.

This role involves independent handling of the design function with close coordination with production, procurement, and installation teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the mechanical design activities for car parking systems.
• Design and develop structural and mechanical components including columns, platforms, beams, shafts, chains, wire ropes, pulleys, gear mechanisms, etc.
• Prepare and review GA drawings, proposal drawings, part drawings, assembly drawings, and BOMs.
• Perform basic load calculations, structural checks, and ensure design safety and compliance.
• Optimize designs for cost, manufacturability, installation feasibility, and safety.
• Coordinate with production, procurement, and site teams to resolve design-related issues.
• Support new product development, standardization, and continuous design improvement.
• Ensure adherence to Indian standards and internal design guidelines.
• Guide junior designers/draughtsmen.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in car parking systems.
• Experience in design coordination and technical decision-making.
• Familiarity with Indian mechanical design standards.

Education

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
