Assistant Design Manager

As a Design Engineer at one of the leading MNCs in Switchgear Manufacturing, your role will involve understanding customer requirements, specifications, and tender requirements related to switchgear products. You will be responsible for cost analysis, interpreting switchgear product standards, and overseeing associated testing processes. Your key responsibilities will include: - Developing a contract execution plan and guiding the team in monitoring and executing activities within specified timelines - Coordinating with project managers and sales teams to maintain project timelines and mitigate risks - Ensuring the design team follows engineering processes, preparing and checking drawings and bill of materials according to PLM and CAD system guidelines - Tracking design errors and striving for first-time-right solutions by suggesting improvements - Monitoring costs and exploring alternate solutions and manufacturing processes for optimal results - Planning and supervising prototype building and coordinating internal/external testing schedules - Reviewing schematics and wiring, identifying errors, and implementing corrective measures - Maintaining data for product configuration, validating logic, testing configurator functionality, and training sales teams - Completing technical reviews within standard timelines and maintaining all relevant files - Providing information for management reports on a monthly basis - Mentoring and supporting team members to maintain required competencies and identifying skill gaps for future projects If you are passionate about a career in Switchgear design and possess at least 8+ years of experience along with a B.Tech/B.E. in Mechanical/Electrical, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
