Job Description Provide Instrumentation maintenance support viz. reliability planning and co-ordination for efficient execution of job to achieve world class Instrumentation asset reliability in plant areas of refinery at optimal cost within the design standards and statutory regulations. Responsibilities ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Accountabilities ACTIVITIES QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM HSEF: CARE & WELFARE: To ensure safe working conditions of all Instrumentation Staff for maintenance activities in related working areas. 100% compliance to Work Permit System with virtually zero non-compliance. Provide periodic tool box talks to all Instrumentation staff working in related area. Ensure interlock bypass format and bypass register to be followed in related working area. Ensure proper safety training for all staff in co-ordination with HR. RELIABILITY ENHANCEMENT: To meet maximum availability of plants ensuring 100% availability of instrumentation at optimal cost. Execution of Preventive maintenance of Instruments. Reduction in down time of plants due to breakdown of instruments by keeping adequate spares. Root cause analysis against each instrumentation failure and implementations of findings. COST MANAGEMENT: Reduction in maintenance cost and spares inventory of Instruments. Adherence to Capex as well as Opex Budget figures for Plant. Close monitoring of Expenses against budget. Replacement of costly imported spares of package unit instruments with suitable indigenous spares. Standardization of variety Instruments with standard one to reduce Inventory. Preparation of SPIR sheets for Instruments and setting MRP levels for various spares to reduce inventory. BEST MAINTENANCE PRACTICES & PROCEDURES: To Lead and direct the development & improvement of system to create a management frame work with the capability to achieve targeted levels of reliability at TA. Implement systems, procedures and policies for executing Work Requests effectively and efficiently. (I.e. Adherence to MOC, etc.) To monitor the performance of individual instrument through SAP history and take timely action. Optimum Utilize resources (Labour & Equipment) Ensure adherence to Knowledge shearing session. Implementation and updating RCM recommendations. TEAM MANAGEMENT: To create, maintain and improve the maintenance team to achieve the team's objectives and continue to do so over time. To align team capabilities, behaviours with respect to department objectives. To implement Leadership tenets i.e. (VARDI) to improve and maintain Team to achieve Objective. PROJECT MANAGEMENT: To lead and monitor/ direct project expansion activities as per objectives and time schedule Co-ordinate with vendors for materials. Co-ordinate with NES for engineering related issues. Provide technical solutions to problems faced at site. Allocate resources for timely completion. OHSMS HSEF Care and Welfare Authority : Ensure that all the loss exposures are identified and suitable controls are established for their mitigation. Monitor compliance with the controls. Identify opportunities for enhancing HSEQ performance. Ensure that all legal obligations are fulfilled within due time limits. lENVIRONMENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM EnMS ISO 50001:2018 AUTHORITY :- Awareness about Energy policy- 50001:2018 Significant energy uses. PROCESS SAFETY MANAGEMENT PSM Knowledge of Process Safety Management elements and procedures (Mechanical Integrity & Asset Reliability) Plan and conduct Asset Criticality Assessment of equipment. Implementation of Inspection recommendation. Lead / Participate Root Cause Analysis, Process Near Miss & Incident investigations. Responsible for compliance of Contractor Safety Management System as assigned. Participate in Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) studies, Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR). Ensure interlock / trips are configured as per Cause & Effect Diagrams. Maintain up to date of equipment datasheet, equipment failure data & history.
