Job Description: Architect – EV Charging Site Design Engagement Type: Full-time, on-roll Location: Chennai + site visits as needed (Tamil Nadu, Telangana, and across India) Reports To: Business Head – Mana Energy About Mana Energy Mana Energy is building India’s first pitstop-style EV charging network designed for both private EVs and commercial fleets (buses, trucks, and cars). With high-power chargers (240 kW & 360 kW) and highway-focused sites, we aim to set new benchmarks in speed, reliability, and design of EV infrastructure. To support our rapid expansion, we are looking for a full-time Architect who will lead the planning, development, and standardization of site designs across multiple EV charging locations. Scope of Work The selected candidate will be responsible for: Site Planning & Architectural Design Create detailed site plans based on land availability, engineering constraints, and operational requirements. Plan vehicle movement flow (cars, buses, trucks) for safe navigation and efficient charging. Design canopy layouts, parking bays, pitstops, amenities, accessibility, and branding placement. Structural & Electrical Coordination Work closely with electrical teams to integrate: Transformers HT/LT panels Cable routing/trenching Charger placement Ensure structural designs meet durability and safety standards. Technical Drawings & Documentation Prepare: Layout drawings Working/equipment drawings Structural & architectural details SLD coordination with engineers Create and update standard design templates for future scalability. Bill of Materials & Vendor Support Prepare BoMs to support procurement and vendor bidding. Assist in vendor evaluation during execution. Visualization Develop 3D renders demonstrating the final site experience, canopy, footfall flow, lighting and signage. Compliance & Standards Ensure all designs meet: Local building regulations Safety norms EV infrastructure best practices Environmental guidelines Required/Preferred Experience ·         Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture (B.Arch. / M.Arch.). ·        3–7 years of experience in architecture, preferably with: Fuel stations EV charging sites Retail infra or mobility infrastructure ·        Strong understanding of architectural, structural, and electrical integration. ·        Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp/Revit, and rendering tools. ·        Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver within timelines. ·        Willingness to travel to sites when required. Deliverables (per site) Site layout drawings (architectural + electrical + structural integration). BoM for civil, canopy, and site infrastructure. 3D rendering/visualization of the charging station.
