💼The Role:

We’re looking for an Android Team Lead with 10+ years of experience in building and scaling high-performance Android applications.

You’ll lead a talented team of Android engineers to deliver secure, scalable, and user-centric fintech and payment solutions that handle thousands of transactions every day.

This is a high-impact leadership role for a hands-on technical expert who thrives in fast-paced environments and wants to shape the future of one of the region’s most dynamic startups.

🔧 What You’ll Be Doing:

• Design and develop complex, secure, and scalable Android applications in the fintech/payments domain.
• Lead and mentor a team of Android engineers, driving best practices and technical excellence.
• Implement robust app security standards (encryption, secure storage, SSL pinning, biometric authentication).
• Optimize application performance, memory usage, and network efficiency for large-scale fintech applications.
• Collaborate closely with Backend, DevOps, QA, and Product teams to ensure end-to-end solution delivery.
• Adopt clean architecture (MVVM), multi-module apps, and scalable code practices.
• Conduct code reviews and contribute to setting engineering guidelines and development standards.
• Integrate with complex APIs including payment gateways, digital wallets, and card services.
• Ensure compliance with RBI, PCI-DSS, and other fintech regulatory/security guidelines.
• Manage app releases, versioning, CI/CD pipelines, and large-scale Play Store deployments.

🎯 What You Bring to the Table:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree

  in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• 10+ years of proven professional experience

  in Android development.

• Core Android Development:

  Kotlin, Java, Jetpack components, Coroutines, Flow, LiveData.

• Architecture:

  MVVM, Dependency Injection (Hilt/Dagger).

• Networking & Data:

  Retrofit/OkHttp, gRPC, WebSockets, MQTT, Room/Realm/SQLite, Datastore.

• Fintech Integrations:

  Payment gateways (Razorpay, Stripe, PayU, etc.), Card tokenization, Biometric authentication.

• Security Practices:

  Encryption, SSL/TLS, Certificate pinning, Android Keystore, OAuth2.0, JWT.

• Performance & Scalability:

  Multithreading, Profiling (CPU, memory, battery), Crash analytics (Firebase/Crashlytics).

• CI/CD & Tools:

  Git, Jenkins/GitHub Actions, Gradle optimization, ProGuard/R8, Play Console.

• Testing:

  JUnit, Espresso, Mockito, UI Automator, End-to-End testing frameworks.
• Knowledge of

  fintech compliance

  (PCI-DSS, RBI security guidelines) and experience with digital KYC, lending apps, fraud detection modules.
