Role Overview
The
Assistant / Deputy Manager – Logistics Operations
will be responsible for ensuring smooth, efficient, and cost-effective execution of all logistics operations from dispatch to final delivery. The role demands
daily operational control, lead time optimization, stakeholder coordination, and performance tracking
across all logistics stages — including pick-up, clearance, transit, and handover.This position will serve as a key link between the
manufacturing, customer service, and marketplace teams
, ensuring consistent visibility, timely escalation, and proactive issue resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily logistics operations for domestic and international shipments — including dispatch, clearance, and delivery tracking.
- Monitor and optimize each stage lead time (handover, customs clearance, transit, and delivery) to achieve maximum efficiency.
- Track and analyze shipment movement reports to ensure timely execution and identify bottlenecks.
- Coordinate with stakeholders — customer service, warehousing, production, and carriers — for seamless communication and problem-solving.
- Ensure on-time clearance, departure, and handover adherence, maintaining accuracy of all logistics data and exceptions.
- Conduct daily and weekly performance reviews with service providers and internal teams.
- Track shipment performance KPIs, including TAT, on-time delivery, detention/demurrage, and exception handling.
- Support root cause analysis for delayed shipments and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Collaborate with freight partners and 3PLs to enhance visibility, tracking systems, and performance compliance.
- Prepare and present management dashboards, cost analysis, and performance summaries to leadership.

Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of logistics operations, freight management, and lead time control.
- Knowledge of domestic & international shipping, customs documentation, and clearance processes.
- Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, ERP/WMS systems for data tracking and analytics.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and analytical skills.
- Hands-on approach with a strong sense of ownership and urgency.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related discipline (MBA preferred).
- Experience: 5–8 years in logistics operations, preferably in manufacturing, e-commerce, or export/import environments.
- Experience in tracking systems, 3PL coordination, and lead-time optimization is essential.
