3-5 years of experience as a Store Manager in Aviation sector


Main Role and responsibilities would be:

1. Inventory & Stock Control

  • Manage the receipt, storage, and issuance of any aircraft spare parts, tools, and consumables.
  • Maintain accurate stock levels to support maintenance schedules without overstocking.
  • Perform regular cycle counts and full stock audits.
  • Ensure traceability and correct labeling of all stock.
  • Monitor shelf-life–limited and service-life–limited items to prevent expiry.


2. Compliance & Regulatory Requirements

  • Ensure stores comply with aviation regulatory bodies .
  • Verify all aircraft parts have correct airworthiness certification.
  • Maintain records for traceability of all aircraft components.
  • Adhere to company policies, industry standards, and safety regulations.


3. Procurement & Supply Chain Coordination

  • Work with procurement teams to source approved inventory.
  • Liaise with approved suppliers and OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers).
  • Track lead times and ensure timely delivery of critical spares.
  • Manage repair/overhaul shipments to vendors.


4. Storage & Handling

  • Ensure secure, climate-controlled, and hazard-compliant storage conditions.
  • Oversee segregation of serviceable, unserviceable, and quarantine stock.
  • Implement FIFO/FEFO (First In First Out / First Expiry First Out) procedures.
  • Manage bonded stores (customs-controlled stock, if applicable).


5. Data Management & Documentation

  • Maintain accurate stock records in inventory management systems.
  • Record all material transactions for audit and compliance.
  • Prepare inventory reports, shortage reports, and usage forecasts.
  • Support technical records by providing part history when required.


6. Team Leadership & Coordination

  • Advise other staff members on aviation stock control procedures and safety practices.
  • Ensure strong coordination with maintenance and engineering teams.
  • Ensuring a strong co-ordination and team work between the cabin management, cabin crew and flight deck. 


7. Cost & Budget Control

  • Control inventory costs by minimizing excess stock and avoiding AOG (Aircraft on Ground) delays.
  • Track repair vs. replace costs for economic decision-making.
  • Provide cost analysis reports to management.


8. Logistics & Distribution

  • Manage inbound and outbound logistics of the inventory. 
  • Arrange AOG shipments with freight forwarders when urgent by working with the MX team. 
  • Ensure customs compliance for import/export of aviation materials.


9. Safety & Quality Assurance

  • Ensure hazardous materials (batteries, chemicals, lubricants) are handled per safety standards.
  • Report and investigate discrepancies, losses, or non-compliance issues.
  • Enforce health and safety practices within the stores environment
