About The Role
We are looking for an experienced ADP Tester with strong expertise in payroll systems, particularly in Workday-to-ADP integration, including ADP GlobalView, Celergo, and ADP Workforce Now. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in validating payroll data, testing integrations, troubleshooting payroll-related defects, and supporting large-scale global payroll transformation programs.This role requires strong functional payroll knowledge, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate with Workday teams, ADP SMEs, and cross-functional stakeholders operating in different time zones.
Key Responsibilities
- Payroll & Integration Testing :
- Perform end-to-end testing of Workday-to-ADP payroll integrations including data mapping, transformation logic, and file validations.
- Validate inbound and outbound payroll files exchanged between Workday and ADP (GlobalView / WFN / Celergo).
- Execute test cases covering payroll processing, earnings, deductions, tax calculations, retro pay, and gross-to-net validation.
- Test payroll data conversion, initial load testing, and migration scenarios.
- Ensure correct configuration and data flow for all payroll components.
- Test Execution & Defect Management :
- Execute functional, regression, UAT, SIT, and parallel payroll testing for multiple pay groups.
- Analyze discrepancies, identify root causes, and document detailed defect logs.
- Work closely with developers, payroll SMEs, and integration teams to retest and validate defect resolutions.
Prepare and maintain test scenarios, test scripts, and traceability matrices.
- Data Validation & Reconciliation :
- Validate employee master data, wage types, tax details, time and absence data, costing allocations, and payroll results.
- Reconcile payroll outputs (gross-to-net) between Workday and ADP.
- Validate security roles, data permissions, and integration triggers.
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Management :
- Collaborate with Workday functional teams, ADP product specialists, and cross-functional payroll operations teams.
- Participate in regular client meetings, review sessions, and status reporting.
- Provide subject matter expertise (SME) for Workday payroll integrations and ADP payroll validations.
- Documentation & Reporting :
- Prepare detailed test reports, defect metrics, and test execution summaries.
- Maintain payroll testing documentation for audits and compliance.
- Support go-live readiness, cutover activities, and hypercare.
Required Skills & Experience
Must-Have Skills :
- 5 to 7 years of experience in ADP payroll testing, preferably in large enterprise environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with :
- ADP GlobalView
- ADP Workforce Now (WFN)
- ADP Celergo
- Deep understanding of payroll rules, statutory calculations, earnings/deductions, tax logic, and gross-to-net processes.
- Experience validating Workday payroll interfaces and integration designs.
- Strong knowledge of test planning, execution, and defect lifecycle.
- Comfortable working in US shift timings.
Good To Have Skills
- Workday HCM or Workday Payroll knowledge.
- Experience with global payroll transformation projects.
- Exposure to multi-country payroll (US, EMEA, APAC, LATAM).
- Basic understanding of integration tools : PECI, Payroll Interface, Core Connector, EIB, etc.
