Job Description

Job Summary

High-Tech CPQ Manager

Key Responsibilities
CPQ Strategy & Leadership

Own the overall CPQ roadmap and align it with business growth and go-to-market strategies
Lead and mentor CPQ consultants, developers, and administrators
Establish CPQ best practices, governance standards, and documentation

CPQ Design & Implementation

Oversee design and configuration of complex product models including hardware, software, SaaS, subscriptions, bundles, and services
Define and manage pricing strategies such as tiered pricing, usage-based pricing, subscriptions, renewals, and enterprise agreements
Ensure accurate configuration of discounting rules, approvals, and quote templates

Business Partnership & Stakeholder Management

Act as the primary CPQ point of contact for Sales, Product, Finance, Legal, and Operations
Translate business requirements into scalable CPQ solutions
Advise leadership on CPQ capabilities, limitations, and optimization opportunities

Integrations & Quote-to-Cash Ownership

Oversee CPQ integrations with CRM, ERP, billing, order management, and contract systems
Ensure end-to-end quote-to-cash (Q2C) and order-to-cash (O2C) process alignment
Partner with Finance to support revenue recognition and compliance requirements

Delivery, Quality & Support

Manage project timelines, scope, and risks for CPQ initiatives
Oversee testing strategies (unit, system, UAT) and deployment activities
Ensure post-go-live support, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement

Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical & Functional Expertise

Deep experience with CPQ platforms such as
Salesforce CPQ, Oracle CPQ, SAP CPQ, or Conga CPQ
Strong understanding of
high-tech business models
(hardware, software licensing, SaaS, subscriptions)
Expertise in pricing models, discount governance, approvals, and renewals
Experience with CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred) and enterprise integrations
