Accounts Executive

Job Title: Executive – Accounts Experience Required: 2 Years Location: T.Nagar Chennai Department: Finance & Accounts Job Summary:The Executive – Accounts will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting activities, ensuring accuracy in financial records, supporting month-end closing, and assisting the Accounts Manager in all finance-related operations. The role requires strong knowledge of accounting principles, attention to detail, and hands-on experience with accounting software. Key Responsibilities: Handle daily accounting entries including sales, purchases, expenses, and journal entries. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable. Prepare and maintain cash book, bank book, and general ledger. Assist in bank reconciliation statements and petty cash management. Support month-end and year-end closing activities. Coordinate with internal departments for billing, vendor payments, and invoice verification. Assist in GST working, TDS working, and statutory compliance documentation. Prepare periodic financial reports and statements as required. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all financial transactions. Support audits by providing necessary data and clarifications. Skills & Qualifications:B.Com / M.Com / MBA Finance or related qualification. Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting. Knowledge of GST, TDS, and basic statutory compliance. Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (Tally ERP, Zoho Books, or similar). Strong numerical ability, accuracy, and attention to detail. Good communication and coordination skills. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Preferred Attributes:Experience in hospitality or retail industry (added advantage). Ability to multitask and handle high-volume transactions. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
