Accounts and Administration Intern (Pune)

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant Intern who will be responsible for assisting with day-to-day accounting, bookkeeping, statutory compliance, financial operations, and office administration. The candidate should be eager to learn, adapt quickly, and demonstrate a strong understanding of accounting principles while working with tools like Zoho Books.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain India Bookkeeping in Zoho Books by recording day-to-day financial transactions.
• Handle invoicing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and budget tracking in compliance with accounting principles.
• Coordinate with external auditors during statutory audits by preparing reports, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
• Process and verify employee reimbursements, including travel, internet, and incentives.
• Manage vendor and client contracts/agreements and ensure accurate record-keeping.
• Prepare and reconcile bank accounts monthly and ensure accurate treatment of pending entries.
• Ensure accurate TDS and GST compliance:
• Review TDS transactions, remit payments timely, prepare & file TDS returns.
• File GST returns, review applicability (reverse charge, exports, input credits).
• Work with CA firm for accounting, tax queries, and statutory filings (GST, TDS, PF, PT).
• Process payroll-related calculations, including IT, PF, PT, etc., and assist employees with queries on income tax exemptions, payroll, and ad-hoc requests.
• Prepare schedules and reconciliations for month-end closures.
• Support in preparing MIS, financial statements, and cash flow reports.

Qualification & Requirements

• Education: CA Intermediate / MBA Finance / M.Com (preferred).
• Experience: 0–2 years of relevant industry experience in accounting/finance.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in Zoho Books.
• Strong MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) skills.
• Knowledge Base:
• Sound understanding of Indian Accounting Standards & Principles.
• Working knowledge of GST, TDS, PF, PT compliance.
• Soft Skills:
• Quick learner, ability to work independently with accuracy.
• Calm and poised under pressure; maintains confidentiality.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Growth mindset, adaptable, and customer-service oriented approach.

Stipend: 10,000/ Per Month

Duration of Internship: 3 Months

CTC after Internship: 2.7 LPA
