Job Summary

The Banking Account Manager is responsible for managing and growing relationships with assigned customers by offering banking products and financial solutions tailored to client needs. The role focuses on customer acquisition, retention, portfolio growth, risk management, and ensuring compliance with banking regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Client Relationship & Portfolio Management

  • Act as the primary relationship contact for assigned retail, SME, or corporate customers.
  • Manage customer portfolios including savings, current accounts, deposits, loans, and other banking products.
  • Build long-term relationships to enhance customer loyalty and retention.
  • Conduct regular client meetings and financial reviews.

Business Development & Sales

  • Acquire new customers through referrals, leads, and cross-selling initiatives.
  • Promote and sell banking products such as CASA, term deposits, loans, trade finance, cards, and digital banking services.
  • Achieve assigned sales and revenue targets.
  • Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities.

Credit & Risk Management

  • Assess customer credit requirements and assist in loan processing.
  • Prepare and review credit proposals, financial statements, and KYC documentation.
  • Monitor account conduct, credit exposure, and early warning signals.
  • Ensure timely renewals, recoveries, and follow-ups for overdue accounts.

Compliance & Regulatory Adherence

  • Ensure full compliance with RBI / banking regulations, KYC/AML norms, and internal policies.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and audit-ready records.
  • Support internal and external audits as required.

Service & Issue Resolution

  • Handle customer queries, service requests, and escalations effectively.
  • Coordinate with operations, credit, and compliance teams for smooth account operations.
  • Ensure high service quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of banking products and financial analysis.
  • Sales, negotiation, and customer service orientation.
  • Risk assessment and credit appraisal skills.
  • Proficiency in core banking systems and MS Office.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration.
  • MBA / CAIIB / JAIIB preferred.
  • 2–8 years of experience in banking relationship management or sales.
  • Experience in retail, SME, or corporate banking preferred.

· Portfolio growth (CASA, advances, deposits)

· Customer acquisition and retention

· Revenue and fee income generation

· Asset quality (NPA levels)

· Compliance and audit scores

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹16,649.35 - ₹60,344.63 per month
