The Accounts Executive will be responsible for providing support to the finance department by managing daily accounting tasks. This role involves processing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with the preparation of financial reports. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess strong organizational skills, and have a basic understanding of accounting principles.
* Data Entry: Accurately inputting financial data into accounting software and spreadsheets (e.g., invoices, payments, receipts).
* Accounts Payable (AP): Processing vendor invoices, verifying accuracy, obtaining necessary approvals, and preparing payments.
* Accounts Receivable (AR): Generating and sending invoices to customers, tracking payments, and following up on outstanding balances.
* Bank Reconciliation: Reconciling bank statements with internal records to ensure accuracy.
* Expense Reporting: Processing employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies.
* General Ledger Support: Assisting with the maintenance of the general ledger by preparing journal entries and reconciliations.
* Filing and Documentation: Maintaining organized and up-to-date financial records and documentation.
* Administrative Support: Providing general administrative support to the finance department, such as photocopying, scanning, and filing.
* Assisting with Audits: Providing documentation and support during internal and external audits.
* Other Duties: Performing other accounting and financial tasks as assigned.
* Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting (B.Com) or higher.
* Experience: Some prior experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role is a plus, but may not be required for entry-level positions.
* Skills:
* Basic understanding of accounting principles (debits, credits, etc.).
* Proficiency in data entry and basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
* Familiarity with accounting software Zoho Books and others. (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP) is an advantage.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Good organizational and time management skills.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality.
* Basic communication skills.
