About The Role

We’re on the look out for an Account Director who shares our passion for shaping culture by blending talent, tech, and data, while building lasting partnerships with some of the most progressive brands and platforms around the globe.As an Account Director, you’ll lead client relationships, drive business growth, and ensure we consistently deliver bold, high-quality work.

A day in the life of an Account Director

  • Understand Kulfi’s revenue and profitability model, ensuring all work is delivered within budgets, timelines, and at the highest quality
  • Own the revenue and forecast for the assigned brands. Determine and negotiate budget requirements, contribute to fee development, and drive new business opportunities to help brands grow into mega brands
  • Build and maintain strong, collaborative partnerships between clients and all internal teams / departments involved in delivering work
  • Oversees and manage multiple projects simultaneously, developing account strategies and providing strategic recommendations to ensure overall account success
  • Identify opportunities through your own network and support the new business team on pitches and presentations when required
  • Develop a deep understanding of clients’ business and keep abreast of the industry and market trends to proactively offer relevant solutions
  • Build external project teams (variabilising) as needed to deliver work effectively
  • Lead and mentor team members, ensuring successful delivery and growth
  • Take full ownership of the brand - maintain regular communication with clients and internal/external teams, and be regarded as the strategic leader by the team
  • Foster a culture of innovation, excellence, and continuous improvement

  • Development and execution of successful forwarding thinking strategies to grow & provide value to our clients business
  • Customer Experience score
  • Overall client NPS to be 4/5

Value Creation for Kulfi

: Retention, Growth and new acquisition of Mega accounts:
  • Responsible for managing and tracking the Profit & Loss of the brands associated with the Account Director. (Expected growth by 50-60% and Expected margin 40-45% to be maintained on strategic mega accounts)
  • Growth in the billing no. of existing mega accounts annually (accounts that have grown to $2m in revenues or more)
  • Conversion percentage of the number of briefs received annually
  • No of new accounts won and acquired annually
  • Successful project completion rate within established timelines and budgets
  • Tracking a cultural relevance score of 3.5/5 on all projects

People Management KPIs

  • Team performance: Creating a high performance team (Almost Always Exceeds Expectations) in order to measure the performance of the direct reportees
  • Coaching and mentoring sessions which result in higher efficiency in the role and increased levels of output at work

  • 7+ years of experience in client servicing and account management.
  • Proven track record of building strong relationships with clients and brands, and delivering exceptional results.
  • Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop innovative solutions
  • Strong workflow management and project management skills, with experience managing complex projects and teams
  • Excellent team building and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others
  • Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to balance client needs with agency profitability
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas in a clear and concise manner
