- Academic Leadership & Planning
Lead the academic vision, planning, and execution for the department/program.
Develop and implement academic strategies, annual teaching plans, and curriculum improvements.Ensure alignment of academic goals with the institution’s objectives and standards.Review and update curriculum content to maintain relevance and quality.
- Team Management & Supervision
Supervise, guide, and mentor faculty members and subject matter experts.
Allocate subjects, classes, and workload among team members based on expertise and schedule requirements.Conduct periodic performance evaluations of the academic team.Provide support, feedback, and training to improve faculty performance and teaching quality.
- Class Scheduling & Coordination
Plan, organize, and monitor class schedules for all faculty members.
Ensure timely allocation of classes, substitution arrangements, and smooth academic operations.Coordinate with administrative teams for timetable preparation and classroom availability.Track attendance, punctuality, and class delivery of self and team members.
- Quality Assurance & Academics Monitoring
Monitor lesson plans, teaching methodology, and overall academic delivery.
Conduct regular audits of classroom engagement, content delivery, and student feedback.Ensure adherence to academic standards, SOPs, and institutional policies.Identify gaps in academic delivery and take corrective measures.
- Student Support & Communication
Address escalated academic concerns from students or parents regarding teaching or curriculum.
Ensure continuous academic support, doubt-clearing, and mentorship for students.Review student performance reports and coordinate improvement strategies.
Organize and conduct faculty development programs, training, and workshops.
Identify skill gaps within the academic team and plan upskilling initiatives.Encourage innovation in teaching methodologies and use of digital tools.
- Reporting & Documentation
Maintain updated reports on faculty performance, class progress, academic schedules, and curriculum status.
Submit periodic academic reports to senior management.Ensure all academic-related documentation and compliance are maintained properly.
- Cross-Department Coordination
Collaborate with HR, Operations, and Management for recruitment, onboarding, and evaluation of faculty.
Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless academic and administrative flow.Participate in strategic meetings and contribute to institutional growth.
- Academic Discipline & Governance
Ensure discipline, professionalism, and adherence to institutional values among the academic team.
Handle escalations related to academic behaviour or performance issues.Establish and enforce academic codes of conduct.
