Job Description

The Workday HCM Architect will lead the implementation, configuration, and ongoing optimization of Workday HCM modules, serving as an expert resource and strategic partner for HR, Payroll, and IT teams. This role translates business requirements into robust Workday solutions and ensures seamless system integration and support across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, test, and deploy Workday HCM modules

    (Core HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Absence, Time Tracking, Payroll, Recruiting, etc.) to meet evolving business needs.
  • Lead workshops and working sessions

    to gather, analyze, and document requirements, recommending process improvements and system enhancements.
  • Develop and maintain integrations

    between Workday and other business systems or vendors using Workday Studio and related technologies.
  • Serve as a consultative partner to HR and other business functions

    , providing expertise on HR process design and Workday best practices.
  • Troubleshoot, resolve, and optimize

    HRMS technical or data issues, implementing enhancements per change control guidelines.
  • Guide teams and mentor junior consultants

    , ensuring effective solution delivery and continuous improvement within the Workday ecosystem.
  • Manage project scope, quality, and timelines

    for Workday HCM initiatives, acting as project lead where required.
  • Ensure compliance with audit controls

    and data integrity across all HR systems.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience in Workday HCM implementation and support, with in-depth functional expertise across multiple modules.
  • Advanced skills in Workday configuration, reporting, integrations, and data mapping.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, capable of influencing business leaders and collaborating cross-functionally.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills, with a proven track record managing concurrent projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, HR, or related field (preferred).
