Job Title: Network Infrastructure Engineer Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Network Infrastructure Engineer to join one of our clients as they are looking networking professionals. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and managing advanced network solutions for our diverse clientele. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Passive Optical Networks (PON) , fiber infrastructure , enterprise wireless solutions , and smart building networks . You will work on large-scale projects and collaborate with other experts to deliver highly secure, high-performance, and future-ready networking solutions. Key Responsibilities: Network Design and Implementation Design, implement, and maintain Passive Optical LAN (PON/GPON) networks. Deploy Wi-Fi solutions for large-scale facilities utilizing the latest 802.11 standards. Design and configure Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) to enhance wireless coverage. Build smart building network architectures integrating IP surveillance and VoIP technologies. Technical Leadership and Problem-Solving Conduct comprehensive network planning and architecture assessments for enterprise and educational clients. Provide expert consulting on fiber infrastructure design and optimization . Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues to ensure optimal performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of network technologies. Project Management and Client Relations Lead network infrastructure projects from concept to completion. Coordinate with clients to understand their unique connectivity needs and deliver tailored solutions. Create and maintain technical documentation and provide training for clients and internal teams. Support managed services operations including network monitoring and ongoing optimization. Required Technical Skills: Core Networking Technologies Passive Optical Networks (PON) : Expertise in GPON/PON design, implementation, and troubleshooting. Fiber Infrastructure : Deep knowledge of fiber optic systems , cable management, and termination techniques. Wireless Technologies : Proficiency in Wi-Fi design and optimization using enterprise-grade equipment. Network Protocols : Strong understanding of TCP/IP , VLAN , routing , and switching protocols . Enterprise Systems Network Monitoring : Experience with network monitoring tools and performance optimization. Security Implementation : Knowledge of network security protocols and best practices for enterprise environments. VoIP Systems : Understanding of Voice over IP technologies and integration. IP Surveillance : Experience with network-based surveillance system design and implementation. Technical Tools and Platforms Proficiency with network design software and documentation tools. Experience with JavaScript and HTML for web-based network management interfaces. Familiarity with Google Analytics for network performance tracking. Knowledge of enterprise networking equipment from vendors like Cisco , Aruba , and Ruckus . Required Qualifications: Education and Certifications Bachelor's degree in Network Engineering , Computer Science , Electrical Engineering , or related technical field. Industry certifications such as CCNA , CCNP , CWNA , or equivalent. Fiber optic certification (FOA CFOT or equivalent) is a plus. Professional Experience Minimum 3-5 years of experience in network infrastructure design and implementation. Proven track record with passive optical network deployments . Experience with enterprise-level wireless network design and deployment. Background in project management and client-facing technical roles. Preferred Experience: Industry Background Experience in higher education networking environments . Background in enterprise business network solutions . Knowledge of hospitality industry networking requirements. Experience with smart building and IoT network integration . Advanced Technical Skills Experience with Tellabs Optical LAN solutions . Knowledge of Industry 4.0 networking requirements and IIoT implementations . Background in large-scale network deployments for facilities with complex connectivity needs.
