Wind Projects Lead - GCC

Purpose/Objective

The Role Holder shall ensure Zero Harm Culture at project site, provide leadership in project execution/management of Wind Portfolio, ensure project costs are within budget and industry benchmarks, resource mobilization at site as per project schedule and achieve deadlines in commissioning of projects.

Key Responsibilities of Role

Technical - Lead the on-site execution of wind power projects with a strong focus on technical precision and safety, overseeing foundation works, WTG erection, crane operations, lifting activities, and work-at-height procedures. Coordinate with engineering, procurement/Supply Chain Teams, and OEM teams to ensure technical alignment and timely resolution of site-level challenges. Managerial - Plan and lead end-to-end project execution, including resource mobilization, contractor coordination, and site logistics. Drive schedule adherence, lead cross-functional teams, conduct regular reviews, Strategic -Align construction activities with overall project goals and business strategy. Identify risks and opportunities to optimize execution and reduce delays. Support in project planning, scheduling, and milestone tracking. Financial/P&L -Monitor budget utilization and control construction costs. Validate contractor bills and ensure timely certification and payments Quality/Safety - Ensure strict compliance with quality standards and safety protocols, as per Organization policies. effective implementation of risk assessments, and safe work practices for all high-risk activities. Business Risk –Identify and mitigate risks related to construction delays, vendor performance, and regulatory issues. Ensure documentation and traceability for all construction activities to reduce liability. Statutory/Regulatory Compliance –Ensure all construction activities comply with local laws, and grid regulations. CEA application paper readiness. Internal Interface Finance & Accounts Coordinate for WBS budget & PR approvals, Ensure cost tracking of the Project. Ensure timely certification of contractor bills and financial compliance. PMAG Align construction timelines as per Project Mgmt. Plan. O&M WTG commissioning readiness, Cross Functional Test (as per O&M SOP. coordinate with O&M for HOTO Process. Asset Commissioning Coordinating with asset commissioning team for charging & commissioning of Installed WTG’s. Quality Ensuring timely quality audits and getting Internally certified to approach O&M team for commissioning/charging activity. Supply Chain Mgmt. Coordinating with OEM/ Procurement/Store teams to ensure timely availability of material at WTG locations based on requirements. HR/IT/Techno Commercial HR: Manage manpower planning, onboarding, and welfare at site. IT: Ensure digital tools, Adani connectivity, and systems are functional at site. Techno Commercial: Collaborate on vendor finalization and Order Releasing and amendment. External Interface Vendors/Suppliers Manage delivery schedules, quality checks by Q&A team. Plan for timely availability of materials at Site. OEMs and Contractors Monitor execution quality, safety compliance, and progress. Conduct regular reviews and ensure adherence to contractual obligation Nodal Establishments Ensure GWO(Global Wind Organization) certification for contractual employees working at height also ensure compliance with electrical and labor regulations.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualification & Education - Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical/Mechanical/Civil) with MBA or equivalent preferred. - Minimum 15-18 years of experience in leading Solar/Wind project execution, Power Sector, infra. Sector. - Proven track record in project execution and scaling renewable energy businesses - PMP Certification has an added advantage. - Strong commercial acumen, stakeholder management, and people leadership skills
