This is an opportunity to work with an Ashoka Fellow
Ashoka Fellows are leading social entrepreneurs that have been taken through a rigorous selection process, testing the quality of their ideas and character, to become part of the Ashoka Fellowship and Network. Ashoka Fellows take on the challenges of building innovative system change ideas to make and spread social impact in a world wrought with challenges. They refuse to let the ‘impossible’ stand in their way to creating a better world.

About The Affiliated Organization
RightWalk Foundation was born from a deep belief that rights are only real when they’re accessible. Founded in 2013, we started with a simple but powerful mission: to bridge the gap between law and life — ensuring that progressive policies and constitutional promises translate into real opportunities for those who need them most. Our work is centered on marginalized and underrepresented communities — children from low-income families, women seeking dignified livelihoods, young people striving for skills and employment, and micro-enterprises struggling to grow. These are individuals often excluded not because the system lacks support, but because the support never reaches them. We intervene where policies meet people — designing and deploying solutions that make government schemes and social entitlements effective, equitable, and scalable. From enabling millions of children to access quality private school education under the Right to Education Act, to connecting youth with skills and apprenticeships that lead to sustainable careers, to supporting MSMEs in unlocking growth opportunities — our work is about creating pathways out of poverty and into opportunity. This work matters because social change cannot happen in silos or slogans. It demands structural shifts — in how policies are implemented, how systems respond, and how people access their rights. At RightWalk, we exist to make those shifts happen — transforming rights on paper into realities on the ground. For more information, please visit www.rightwalk.orgThis project focuses on strengthening RightWalk Foundation’s digital presence and storytelling to amplify our mission, scale our impact, and build deeper engagement with stakeholders — including policymakers, partners, donors, and the communities we serve. As we expand our work across education, livelihoods, and social justice, we aim to transform our social media platforms into powerful tools for advocacy, awareness, and action. Our goal is to strategically grow and activate our digital ecosystem — increasing brand visibility, building an engaged online community, and converting that engagement into tangible outcomes like policy influence, partnerships, volunteer support, and funding. Ultimately, we want our digital presence to reflect the depth, scale, and human impact of our work — and to become a catalyst for systemic change. The volunteer will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our social media strategy. Key tasks include:
- Developing an integrated social media plan aligned with organizational goals and campaigns.
- Designing content calendars, storytelling frameworks, and engagement strategies for platforms like LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube.
- Creating and curating compelling, data-backed content — including posts, reels, thought leadership pieces, and campaign narratives.
- Driving audience engagement through interactive campaigns, influencer collaborations, and live digital events.
- Tracking performance metrics, generating insights, and optimizing strategies for reach, engagement, and conversions.
- Advising the team on social media trends, creative best practices, and innovative digital tools.
Our impact is significant — but too often, it remains invisible beyond policy corridors and grassroots communities. A strategic social media presence will change that. By telling powerful stories, translating complex policy work into human narratives, and engaging the right audiences, the volunteer’s work will help unlock new partnerships, attract funding, inspire public support, and ultimately enable us to reach more people, more effectively. In short, they will help turn visibility into velocity — accelerating the systemic change we’re working towards. Please let us know today if you can help!
