Role Overview:

Visual Storyteller & Social Media Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Capture high-quality photographs and videos of MotherQuilts' products, artisans, workshops, and events.
• Plan, direct, and execute both studio and on-location shoots.
• Create engaging promotional reels, interviews, and behind-the-scenes content.
• Edit and post-process images and videos to align with brand standards and storytelling.

• Design and implement a content calendar across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.).
• Write compelling captions, hashtags, and copy aligned with brand voice and storytelling.
• Strategically plan and post content to grow reach, engagement, and conversions.
• Monitor trends, analyze performance metrics, and optimize content based on insights.
• Engage with the community, respond to messages/comments, and build digital relationships.

• Work closely with the design and marketing team to ensure visual alignment with campaign goals.
• Collaborate with artisans and field teams to authentically showcase stories from the ground.
• Stay ahead of visual and social media trends to bring innovation and impact.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of hands-on experience in photography, videography, and social media content creation.
• Proficiency in Canva, Inshot or equivalent tools.
• Strong portfolio showcasing your storytelling abilities across photo, video, and social media.
• In-depth knowledge of social media platforms, trends, and analytics tools.
• Excellent sense of design, composition, lighting, and branding.
• Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Passion for sustainability, traditional crafts, and purpose-driven work (preferred).
• Degree or certification in Photography, Mass Communication, Design, or related fields (preferred).
