We’re seeking someone to join our team as a Vice President in Commodities Operations who will be responsible for enabling the global business and ensuring seamless front to back execution of trading and structured deals.In the Operations division, we partner with business units across the Firm to support financial transactions, devise and implement effective controls and develop client relationships. What You'll Do In The Role
- Develop staff, lead projects and control deployment of resources, owning management tools/methods such as work queues, checklists, depth charts and calendars
- Set direction and expectations for your team(s), defining training plans and transfer of expert knowledge to contribute to team output and development
- Contribute to business plan for area, establish risk/contingency plans, raise and address issues with urgency when required
- Oversight of day-to-day responsibilities within Asia Commodities Confirmation Team
- Ensuring all daily processes and SLAs are met within applicable timeframes.
- Provide excellent leadership and guidance for a team of analysts, associates and directors
- Investigate and resolve complex queries through various means, including daily interaction with key stakeholders, including trading, sales, and other operational groups to ensure prompt resolution.
- Partner with Technology to translate detailed business requirements / impacts assessments / functional specifications into future state system specs
What You'll Bring To The Role
- Stong relationship building skills serving as a role model for client service
- Ability to think commercially, understand the impact of initiatives, risks on the operational budget
- Experience in managing teams, enhancing control, continuous improvement and reducing operational risk
- 10-15 years of experience in Operations, with 5-10 years in Confirmations
- Background in Commodities will be an added advantage
- Strong team management and leadership experience
- Strong understanding of product trade lifecycle, financial derivatives, ISDA language and related regulations
- Bachelor’s Degree - Analytical, financial, or mathematically related preferred (or equivalent
- At least 6 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role
