Overview
We are seeking a forward-thinking Technical Data Manager to oversee the strategic management and optimization of the Planned Maintenance System (PMS) across the company’s global fleet. This role combines maritime technical expertise with digital systems leadership, ensuring vessels remain compliant, audit-ready, and supported by cutting-edge technology for operational excellence.
What will you do?
• Lead the PMS strategy, aligning with company objectives and maritime regulations.
• Oversee compliance and regulatory requirements (IMO, ISM Code, Flag state, Class).
• Manage ERP systems usage for vessel operations (Technical, Marine, QHSE).
• Conduct crew and shore team training to ensure proper PMS and reporting standards.
• Serve as the primary stakeholder manager for internal teams, vendors, and regulators.
• Plan, supervise, and support audits to ensure regulatory and internal compliance.
• Analyze maintenance data and trends to drive cost savings and improve fleet reliability.
• Provide technical and operational support to both vessel and shore-based teams.
• Oversee systems integration between PMS and other digital platforms.
• Drive technology adoption, including predictive maintenance and data analytics.
• Lead and mentor a team of PMS professionals, fostering innovation and accountability.
The must haves
• Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering (Master’s degree or MBA is a plus).
• Valid Class 1 Certificate of Competency; ISM Auditor certification preferred.
• 10–12 years in maritime operations, with at least 2 years in a leadership role handling maritime digitization projects.
• Strong understanding of ship operations, PMS processes, and regulatory frameworks.
• Proven leadership skills in managing global teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
