This role is for one of the Weekday's clients

Salary range: Rs 3200000 - Rs 4800000 (ie INR 32-48 LPA)

Min Experience: 14 yearsLocation: MumbaiJobType: full-timeThis role involves leading valuation engagements, managing client relationships, and delivering high-quality valuation reports across tangible assets, plant & machinery, real estate, and related areas. You will work closely with senior leadership to understand the scope of each assignment, design an execution approach, guide team members, and ensure timely project delivery. The position requires strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to independently manage client interactions.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

Engagement & Client Management

  • Lead valuation assignments by defining scope, methodology, and execution plans under the guidance of the valuation partner.
  • Build and maintain strong, independent client relationships throughout the engagement lifecycle.
  • Manage valuation computations, prepare detailed reports, and coordinate partner reviews.
  • Drive effective communication with clients, including support in fee collection and identifying follow-on business opportunities.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project execution.

Team Leadership

  • Mentor and guide team members in research, financial modelling, and valuation analysis.
  • Support learning and development initiatives within the valuation team.

Risk Management

  • Ensure strict adherence to risk management policies and quality standards.
  • Identify and resolve straightforward risk issues independently and escalate complex concerns with partner support.
  • Take increasing responsibility for managing high-risk aspects of engagements.

Knowledge Management

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of valuation methods, processes, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
  • Help the firm optimise best practices and leverage collective expertise.

Desired Qualifications & Experience

  • MBA, Civil Engineer, Chartered Accountant, or equivalent qualification.
  • 14+ years of progressive experience in valuations, preferably with leading valuation practices, consulting firms, or Big 4 support centres.
  • Deep understanding of financial principles and valuation methodologies.
  • Strong exposure to tangible asset valuations, including purchase price allocations, business valuations, and impairment testing under Ind AS / IFRS.
  • Advanced financial modelling experience, particularly in portfolio valuation models.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and valuation tools.
  • Experience working with research databases (CapitalIQ, Bloomberg, etc.).
  • Strong analytical, project management, and client-facing skills.
  • Proven business development ability and comfort operating in dynamic environments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work at all organizational levels.
  • Willingness to travel frequently as required.
  • Hybrid working model with Mumbai as the base location.
