Position: Underwriter (Real-Estate)

About the Role:

We are looking for an Underwriter with hands-on experience in real estate/property lines. You will assess risks, analyse documentation, and issue policies in line with underwriting guidelines to support profitable growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate real estate/property risks and determine appropriate terms, pricing, and coverage.
• Review proposals, documentation, valuations, and inspection reports.
• Prepare quotations, policy wordings, endorsements, and schedules accurately and on time.
• Collaborate with brokers/sales teams and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
• Monitor portfolio performance and maintain underwriting records in systems.
• Ensure compliance with internal guidelines and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in real estate/property underwriting.
• Strong analytical, numerical, and documentation skills.
• Working knowledge of policy wordings, endorsements, and pricing fundamentals.
• Proficiency with MS Office and underwriting/CRM systems.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree (insurance/finance/commerce preferred); insurance certifications are a plus.
• Experience with property valuations, risk inspections, CAT exposure basics.
• Familiarity with reinsurance and referral processes.
