Travel Consultant

Job Responsibilities:

• Invoice Management:

  Receive and process invoices from travel and transport vendors in a timely and accurate manner.

• Billing:

  Manage billing procedures efficiently, ensuring compliance with internal protocols.

• Travel Coordination:

  Handle end-to-end travel arrangements (domestic and international), including flight bookings, ticketing, fare management, routing, and post-booking support in accordance with the University Travel Policy.

• Bookings & Reservations:

  Coordinate air ticket bookings, hotel reservations, preparation of travel reports, and settlement of vendor invoices.

• Visa Processing:

  Manage and oversee visa application processes for business travelers as needed.

• Geographical Awareness:

  Maintain a sound understanding of domestic and international routes and itineraries. A strong geographical knowledge base is essential.

• Issue Resolution & Support:

  Proactively resolve internal queries and issues related to travel. Provide guidance, mentoring, and support to peers as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• 2–8 years of relevant experience in travel and transport coordination.
• Familiarity with

  Galileo

  ,

  Amadeus

  , and

  IATA

  processes is highly desirable.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal, written communication, and report-writing skills.
• Proficiency in statistical analysis and the ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization.
