Learning & Development (L&D) Manager

Role Overview:

Plant L&D Manager


Key Responsibilities:

1️⃣ Training Delivery & Content Development:

  • Prepare and deliver

    technical, safety, and behavioural training programs

    for plant teams.
  • Independently develop

    training content, SOP-based modules, and practical training materials

    in Hindi and English.
  • Conduct

    on-the-job training and classroom sessions

    for operators and engineers.


2️⃣ Competency Mapping & Skill Gap Analysis:

  • Perform

    competency mapping and skills gap analysis

    in coordination with plant leadership.
  • Design and execute targeted training plans to address identified gaps.


3️⃣ TNA, TNI & TTT:

  • Conduct

    Training Needs Analysis (TNA) and Training Needs Identification (TNI)

    aligned with plant goals.
  • Facilitate

    Train-the-Trainer (TTT) programs

    to build internal training capability among senior operators and engineers.


4️⃣ Vendor Management:

  • Identify, evaluate, and manage

    external training vendors

    for specialized skill programs.
  • Monitor vendor performance and ensure quality, timely, and cost-effective training delivery.


5️⃣ Compliance & Documentation:

  • Deliver

    mandatory safety, EHS, and compliance training

    for all plant staff.
  • Maintain accurate training records, feedback, and MIS for audits and management review.


Required Qualifications:

Education:

  • Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, or relevant engineering disciplines.
  • Certifications in L&D, Safety, or Technical Training will be an advantage.

Experience:

  • 5-8 years in

    L&D / Technical Training

    within

    manufacturing, energy, or renewable sector

    .
  • Experience in

    competency mapping, TNA/TNI, and skill gap analysis

    .
  • Hands-on experience in

    vendor management and safety training delivery

    .

Skills:

  • Excellent

    presentation, facilitation, and communication skills (Hindi & English).

  • Proficiency in MS PowerPoint and tools for content preparation.
  • Ability to engage diverse plant-level teams and drive learning initiatives effectively.
