Job Title: Software Tester
Location: Visakhapatnam

Job Summary:

We are looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Software Tester to join our Quality Assurance team. The role involves manual and/or automated testing of web and mobile applications to ensure high-quality product delivery. The ideal candidate should have a passion for quality, strong testing skills, and the ability to identify software bugs and usability issues.

Key Responsibilities:

Testing & Execution

• Analyze user requirements and design test cases based on specifications.
• Perform manual or automated testing for functionality, usability, and regression.
• Execute different types of testing: Functional, Regression, Integration, System, Smoke, and UAT.
• Identify, log, and track bugs in defect management tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
• Retest and verify bug fixes and perform regression testing after changes.

Documentation & Reporting

• Create and maintain test cases, test scripts, and test data.
• Document defects clearly with steps to reproduce, screenshots, and logs.
• Prepare test summary reports and communicate test results to stakeholders.

Collaboration

• Work closely with developers, product managers, and UX/UI teams.
• Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives in Agile teams.
• Support the QA team in implementing test automation (if applicable).

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• 0–3 years of experience in software testing (manual, automation, or both).
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
• Familiarity with test case and bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).

Preferred Skills (Optional but a Plus):

• Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Appium).
• Knowledge of API testing using Postman or REST-assured.
• Knowledge of scripting languages - Java script.
• Knowledge of Programming languages- java , C # , python.
• Basic knowledge of databases and SQL queries.
• Familiarity with version control tools like Git.

• Good communication and teamwork.
• Analytical and problem-solving mindset.
• Ability to work under minimal supervision.
