Job Description:

We are looking for a motivated Tester with DevOps to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in testing software applications along with familiarity in DevOps practices to help streamline the deployment pipeline. As a Tester with DevOps, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of applications while automating and optimizing the build, test, and deployment process. Responsibilities:

• Software Testing: Conduct manual and automated testing to ensure high-quality software products. This includes writing test cases, executing them, and reporting bugs and issues.
• Test Automation: Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or Appium to speed up the testing process and improve efficiency.
• Continuous Integration & Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate the testing and deployment process using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
• Environment Management: Set up and manage test environments and ensure the availability of necessary resources for successful testing and deployment.
• Collaboration with Development Team: Work closely with developers to ensure the code is well-tested and deployed efficiently through the DevOps pipeline.
• Version Control: Use Git for version control to manage source code and work collaboratively with the development team.
• Bug Tracking & Reporting: Identify bugs, report them in the bug tracking tools like Jira, and track their progress until resolution.
• Monitor & Optimize Pipelines: Monitor the CI/CD pipelines for efficiency and suggest improvements for faster, more reliable deployments.
• DevOps Practices: Help integrate testing into the DevOps process, automate routine tasks, and ensure smooth software delivery through robust pipelines.
• Documentation: Write detailed documentation for testing processes, issues, resolutions, and DevOps workflows to ensure transparency and process improvement.
• Stay Updated: Keep up with the latest trends in software testing and DevOps, applying new tools and techniques to improve overall quality and automation.

Requirements:

• Experience: Freshers or up to 3 years of experience in Software Testing and familiarity with DevOps practices.
• Manual & Automated Testing: Experience with manual testing and knowledge of automation testing tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or Appium.
• CI/CD Tools: Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or Travis CI for automating build, test, and deployment pipelines.
• Version Control: Experience with Git for code versioning and collaborating on projects.
• Basic DevOps Knowledge: Understanding of DevOps principles, including automation, infrastructure as code, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.
• Bug Tracking: Experience using bug tracking tools like Jira for defect management and reporting.
• Basic Scripting Knowledge: Familiarity with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Groovy for writing automation scripts and working with CI/CD pipelines.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify defects, track them, and ensure quality throughout the development cycle.
• Communication Skills: Good communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, report bugs, and share testing results.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud for managing testing environments and integrating with the DevOps pipeline.
• Containerization & Virtualization: Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration of environments.
• Test Automation Frameworks: Experience in creating and maintaining test automation frameworks using tools like Selenium WebDriver, Appium, or RestAssured.
• Infrastructure as Code: Knowledge of Terraform or Ansible for infrastructure automation.
• Agile Methodology: Experience working in Agile environments with continuous feedback loops and iterative development.
