Job Description

General Summary

The Territory Sales Manager is responsible for achieving or exceeding sales targets for Ansell products within the assigned territory and vertical, in alignment with the company’s commercial strategy. This role drives business growth through distributors and end users by developing promotional programs, training distributor sales teams, and promoting Ansell’s brands, solutions, and value propositions. The position focuses on maximizing conversions to the Ansell product range, retaining repeat business, and building long-term loyalty with end users.

Key Responsibilities

Territory & Account Management

  • Assess, analyze, prioritize, plan, and execute end-user business within the designated territory to achieve revenue and market share objectives.
  • Formulate and execute monthly sales and conversion plans; collaborate with peers to enhance category and vertical knowledge.
  • Conduct ongoing account profiling with Sales Leaders and key end users; capture and maintain all relevant data in the CRM system.
  • Identify, prioritize, and convert new business opportunities to support long-term growth.

Distributor Engagement

  • Monitor and engage with distributors to maximize Ansell’s profile and performance across end-user networks, in collaboration with the Distribution Manager.
  • Direct sales activities through distributors to ensure optimal territory coverage and penetration into key trade segments.
  • Plan joint end-user strategies with distributor teams to minimize business risk and accelerate growth.
  • Conduct regular meetings to communicate new strategies, products, and policies; ensure execution of sales and marketing programs in the field.
  • Train and supervise distributor staff on Ansell products, services, and procedures.

Stakeholder & Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with site-level and regional decision-makers, as well as internal stakeholders.
  • Represent Ansell at trade shows, exhibitions, industry forums, and reseller networks to strengthen brand visibility and industry presence.

Sales & Financial Management

  • Achieve profit objectives through effective pricing control and expense management.
  • Prepare and submit timely sales plans, forecasts, budgets, and performance reports.
  • Ensure accurate and detailed CRM data management (Salesforce, E-sales, etc.).
  • Monitor trade expenditures and coordinate with Customer Service and the Quality department for complaint resolution.

Market Intelligence & Compliance

  • Monitor competitor activities and channels; develop appropriate counterstrategies with Sales Leaders.
  • Collect, summarize, and share market intelligence on new projects, industry trends, and competitor activities.
  • Conduct sales activities in compliance with relevant legislation, trading terms, company policies, and ethical standards.
  • Recommend updates to trade terms, pricing, discount structures, and credit arrangements as market needs evolve.

Key Requirements

  • Experience:

    7+ years in Surgical, Medical Devices, or Glove (PPE/Healthcare) sales.
  • Education:

    Graduate; MBA preferred.
