Overview PMO encompasses Portfolio, Programme and Project Management Offices. This Resource Manager role will play a pivotal role as part of the PMO team within MUFG Corporate Markets Technology. The Corporate Markets (CM) Technology Resource Manager will work closely with the Head of PMO and be accountable and responsible for effectively managing the allocation and utilisation of technology resources across projects by forecasting needs against approved projects, managing schedules, and collaborating with stakeholders to achieve and be aligned with the organisation’s goals and strategies. Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities Strategic Focus Resource Planning & Forecasting: Develop and maintain resource tracker/plans for CM Technology, including skillsets, capacity, and availability. Forecast future resource needs based on project timelines, business objectives, and industry trends. Work with portfolio/team leads, project managers and stakeholders to understand project requirements and resource needs. Capacity & Dependency Planning: Ensure that CM Technology has the necessary resources to meet current and future project demands. Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Provide regular reports on resource status and performance. Update stakeholders regularly on resource availability, usage and project progress. Other Responsibilities: Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices in resource management. Operational Management Resource Allocation & Management: Work with CM Technology leads to allocate resources to projects based on skillsets, availability, and project priorities. Manage and monitor resource utilisation. Capacity & Dependency Planning: Monitor timesheet reporting and manage employee workload, utilization, and overtime hours. Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Track resource utilization and performance metrics. Identify areas for improvement in resource management processes. Other Responsibilities: May assist with budget planning and management related to resources. People Leadership Collaboration & Communication: Collaborate with project managers, team leads, and other stakeholders to ensure effective resource management. Communicate resource status and potential issues to relevant parties. Provide support on resource management issues. Other Responsibilities: May be involved in recruitment, training, and development of technical staff. Governance & Risk Identify potential bottlenecks, conflicts and report any dependencies. Manage and report resource conflicts and ensure optimal resource utilization. Experience & Personal Attributes At Least 5-7 years of relevant Resource management experience within a PMO/Project Management Environment Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of relevant industry standards and best practices. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g., project management software, resource allocation tools). Familiar with the project development lifecycle, methodologies and general project management. Effective Relationship Management, high experience with working and establishing relationships at all levels within an organisation and third parties. Ability to apply innovative thinking to problem solving. Require the individual to be proactive, detail oriented and have demonstrable experience working within a structured project environment.
