Job Purpose: To design, develop, and deliver high-quality technical training programs in Mechanical Engineering for AMNS's workforce, including apprentices, fresh recruits, and experienced employees. The objective is to enhance technical competencies in operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting mechanical systems critical to steel manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities:1. Training Program Design & Development Develop, review, and update training modules, lesson plans, and course materials on:
Hydraulics and pneumatics
Rotating equipment maintenance
Welding and fabrication techniques
Mechanical diagnostics and troubleshooting
Equipment overhauling and preventive maintenance
Design practical exercises, simulations, and case-based learning relevant to AMNS plant operations.
Ensure all content aligns with operational procedures, safety standards, and industry best practices.
2. Training Delivery Deliver engaging classroom training, hands-on practical workshops, and On-the-Job Training (OJT) sessions.
Communicate complex mechanical concepts in an easily understandable manner using effective teaching methodologies.
Supervise and guide trainees during practical sessions, ensuring proper skill acquisition and adherence to safety protocols.
3. Assessment & Evaluation Design and administer assessments such as quizzes, exams, and practical skill tests.
Monitor trainee progress, provide feedback, and support learning gaps.
Continuously evaluate training effectiveness and implement improvements where necessary.
4. Mentoring & Coaching Act as a mentor and coach for trainees, providing guidance for both technical and professional development.
Support individuals with tailored learning interventions based on their needs and learning pace.
5. Curriculum & Infrastructure Management Manage and maintain training tools, equipment, and workshop facilities to ensure readiness and relevance.
Keep abreast of emerging technologies and developments in mechanical engineering and manufacturing processes.
Collaborate closely with operations and maintenance teams to address skill gaps and customize training content.
6. Documentation & Reporting Maintain accurate records of training schedules, attendance, assessments, and certifications.
Prepare detailed reports on training activities, outcomes, trainee progress, and feedback.
Key Skills & Competencies: Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems in steel or heavy manufacturing industries.
Expertise in:
Hydraulics, pneumatics, and fluid systems
Welding, fabrication, and rotating equipment
Maintenance procedures and failure analysis
Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical faults and diagnostics.
Training & Facilitation Skills: Strong ability to design effective learning materials.
Excellent facilitation and instructional skills for both theoretical and practical sessions.

Preferred Candidate Profile: Educational Qualification:
B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
Experience:
8–15 years of experience in mechanical maintenance in steel plants, heavy industries, or manufacturing.
Prior experience in training, mentoring, or knowledge transfer is highly desirable.
