• Database Management

  : Design, implement, and maintain highly available and scalable database systems to support mission critical applications and analytics.

• Performance Optimization

  : Monitor and optimize database performance, troubleshooting slow queries, deadlocks, and other inefficiencies.

• Data Security

  : Implement and maintain robust security policies, ensuring data integrity, confidentiality, and compliance with industry standards.

• Backup and Recovery

  : Develop and execute comprehensive backup/recovery and disaster recovery strategies.

• Collaboration

  : Partner with data engineers, data scientists, and application developers to support data driven initiatives and optimize database performance and meet business needs.

• Automation

  : Identify opportunities to streamline database processes and implement automation tools for monitoring, deployment, and maintenance.

• Documentation

  : Maintain accurate documentation for database architectures, processes, and configurations to support operational efficiency and knowledge sharing.

• Emerging Technologies

  : Stay updated on database technologies and industry trends to recommend new tools and approaches that align with 84.51°‿s goals.

• Database Support

  : Provide tier 3 support for database issues and collaborate with developers to debug and resolve issues. Perform database maintenance, patching, upgrades.

Qualifications

• Bachelor‿s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in database administration, with a focus on systems such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).

• Mandatory

  : 2+ years of experience in Snowflake DB Administration (preferably Azure).
• Proficiency in database scripting languages (e.g., SQL, PL/pgSQL, T SQL).
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) and database as a service solutions.
• Solid understanding of database architecture, indexing strategies, partitioning, and query optimization.
• Familiarity with data governance and compliance standards, including GDPR and CCPA.
• Strong problem solving skills and ability to work in a fast paced, diverse, and collaborative environment.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with big data platforms (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and data warehouse solutions (e.g., Snowflake, or Databricks).
• Knowledge of tools like Terraform or Ansible for infrastructure automation.
• Certifications in database administration or cloud services (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate, SnowPro Administrator).
