About Our Client
The company is a mid-sized organization operating in the real estate sector.
- Facilities Operations Management:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of all facilities, including office spaces, manufacturing units, warehouses, and other assets.
- Develop and implement facility management strategies to optimize operational efficiency, minimize downtime, and reduce costs.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and environmental standards.
- Establish preventive maintenance programs to proactively address equipment and infrastructure needs.
- Implement energy conservation initiatives, sustainability practices, and green building standards.2. Engineering Project Management:
- Plan, coordinate, and manage engineering projects related to facility upgrades, renovations, and expansions.
Provide technical leadership and guidance on building systems, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing), and other engineering aspects of facility management.
Collaborate with engineering teams to implement sustainable and energy-efficient practices.
- Develop project scope, budgets, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Oversee the selection and management of engineering contractors, architects, and consultants.
- Conduct feasibility studies, cost-benefit analysis, and risk assessments for proposed projects.
- Monitor project progress, identify and mitigate risks, and ensure successful project delivery.3. Vendor Management and Contracts:
- Identify and engage with qualified vendors, contractors, and service providers for engineering and facility-
related services.
- Negotiate and manage contracts, ensuring competitive pricing, service-level agreements, and compliance.
- Establish performance metrics and conduct regular evaluations of vendors' performance.
- Collaborate with vendors to optimize service delivery, resolve issues, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.4. Health, Safety and Regulatory Compliance:
- Develop and enforce health and safety policies, procedures, and protocols across all facilities.
- Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain records/documentation accordingly.
- Implement emergency preparedness plans and conduct drills to ensure a safe and secure workplace.5. Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, HR, finance, and legal, to align facility strategies with organizational objectives.
- Liaise with government agencies, regulatory bodies, and local authorities to ensure compliance and address any regulatory issues.
- Foster relationships with key stakeholders, including property owners, contractors, and service providers.
- Provide regular updates, reports, and presentations to senior management on facility operations, projects, and initiatives.
- Work closely with external engineering consultants and contractors.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Technical Lead should have:
- A strong educational background in engineering or a related field.
