Job Summary:

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Technical Content Writer to join our team. As a Technical Writer, you will play a crucial role in creating clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation and study material or manuals for usage of the Academy or any Dept within NEP. Your work will bridge the gap between complex technical information and the end-users to facilitate training and internal learning. Responsibilities:

  • Prepare technical materials through collaboration with subject matter experts for internal training Academy purposes, specifically for use in the NEP India Academy's technical training.
  • Working closely with various departments or subject matter experts, research, outline, write, and edit content, to prepare required training material.
  • Collaborate with various departments to understand existing training material/workflow processes, revising or updating content to incorporate the changes, feedback and close any gaps.
  • Ensure technical accuracy and possess the knowledge to write comprehensive documentation.
  • Gather information from subject-matter experts and develop, organize, and write procedure manuals, technical specifications, and process documentation.
  • Work with development and support leads to identify documentation repositories, revise and edit content, and determine the best solutions for data compilation and centralized storage.
  • Develop content and convert manufacturer technical manuals into alternative media formats for maximum usability, maintaining a consistent voice across all documentation for easy to understandable courses.
  • Meet with stakeholders and participate in requirements discussion.
  • Ability to handle independent tasks and contribute as an individual contributor.

Job Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or other related disciplines.
  • Seven or more years of experience as an effective technical writer.
  • Ability to understand and prepare technical drawings and process flow charts.
  • Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex subject matter.
  • Experience in writing technical documentation and procedure manuals for various audiences.
  • Superb written communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Experience in working with engineers to improve user experience (ex: design, UI), refine content, and create visuals and diagrams for technical support content
  • Good knowledge of MS Office or Google Docs.
  • Ability to edit videos and images
  • Strong research and analytical skills
  • Ability to undertake multiple projects and deliver on tight deadlines
  • Should have granular analysis skills.
