This job is provided by apna.co Job Title: Team Leader – Google Pay (GPay) Location: Chennai / Villipuram Industry: Fintech / Telecom (Field sales) Employment Type: Full-time Job Description We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Team Leader to manage and drive a field sales team for Google Pay merchant onboarding. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in QR code sales, team handling, and fintech operations. Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise a team of Field Sales Executives (BDEs) responsible for onboarding merchants to the Google Pay platform Set daily/weekly targets and ensure performance benchmarks are consistently met Train and mentor new hires and underperforming team members on product knowledge and field execution Monitor field activity, ensure accurate KYC collection, and maintain onboarding compliance Address and resolve field-level escalations, providing necessary support to the team Conduct regular reporting and performance reviews with internal stakeholders Coordinate with backend teams to ensure merchant activation and support Requirements Minimum 1 year of QR code sales experience in a fintech or digital payments company – Mandatory 1–2 years of experience as a BDE with proven field sales performance Prior experience in team handling or field team leadership is strongly preferred Experience from telecom industry (e.g., Jio, Airtel, Vodafone Idea) is an added advantage Strong interpersonal and communication skills Goal-driven with the ability to motivate and manage a field team Compensation Salary: Up to ₹34,000 CTC per month Incentives: Attractive performance-based incentives Show more Show less
