We are looking for Team Lead -COSTING who has good exposure in Aerospace Industry.

Team Lead - Cost Estimation (Aerospace Industry)

Work Location: Sriperumbudur

Essential Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost sheets for RFQs, covering materials, machining cycle times, manufacturing processes, manpower, overheads, and subcontracted operations.
• Collaborate with Sourcing, Manufacturing and Engineering team to identify Cost out opportunities using Data and Should Cost.
• Ability to develop new ways to optimize the part cost by studying commercial contracts, Engineering design and manufacturing process.
• Ability to do the Cost data analysis using excel / ERPs to propose areas to reduce cost.
• Conduct variance analysis between estimated and actual costs to identify gaps and drive improvements.
• Collaborate with Value engineers to do the cost estimates for the Aerospace Engine parts and identify the cost drivers.
• Assist in make-or-buy evaluations and contribute to supplier cost negotiations.
• Learn and develop ERP based analytics using the data.
• Demonstrate awareness of industry trends and Cost domain expertise
• Demonstrate ability to influence customers and Cost strategy leaders through persuasion and influencing
• Exposure towards AS9100 & ISO 13485 standards

Qualifications / Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Mechanical, Production, Aerospace or Industrial Engineering.
• A minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in Product Cost Out, Should Cost or Cost Estimation from Aerospace Industries.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, machining cycle times, and standard costing practices.
• Proficient in MS Excel, ERP systems, and costing software tools.
• Excellent analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communicator with strong coordination skills to work cross-functionally.
• Ability to manage multiple RFQs and meet tight deadlines.

Desired Characteristics

• Experience in Cost/Price estimation or product design or manufacturing
• Aptitude to learn quickly, ability to identify and raise issues, risks and benefits, being open minded to new perspectives or ideas
• Minimum 2+ years of experience/exposure in CAD tools like Solidworks, Catia, NX etc.
• Proven analytical and problem resolution skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong ability to influence cross-functional teams and leadership at all levels
