About Innovation Lab & Grand Challenges (ILGC)

Innovation Lab & Grand Challenges (ILGC) is a four-year, vertically integrated experiential learning program designed for undergraduate engineering students. The course guides students from observing real-world challenges to building and implementing solutions, grounded in empathy building, exploring, understanding diverse contexts based on communities/people, Problem solving and Innovation. It focuses on project based learning for emerging research areas, amplifying entrepreneurship DNA and/or encouraging them to participate in international competitions of their interest domains.

The four majors that Plaksha offers are:

1. Computer Science & Artificial Intelligence

2. Robotics & Autonomous Systems

3. Biological Systems Engineering

4. Data Science, Economics & Business

Therefore, most of our projects are aligned with these domains only. ILGC emphasises:

Role Overview: Teaching Fellow (TF)

As a Teaching Fellow, you will work at the intersection of education design, student mentorship, and program coordination, supporting the delivery of hands-on learning journeys for undergraduate students. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about reimagining higher education, working closely with students, and enabling learning beyond the classroom.

Key Responsibilities

· Assist the ILGC team in all aspects of the program delivery and maintain the LMS for the course

· Mentor student teams through problem discovery, framing, and solution development

· Support curriculum design, learning activities, and assessment tools

· Help students differentiate between symptoms and root causes of challenges

· Coordinate logistics for sessions, reviews, guest lectures, and fieldwork

· Work closely with faculty to align pedagogy and learning outcomes

· Support peer mentoring and leadership in senior semesters

· Contribute to documentation, content creation, and course improvement
