Job Summary

As a Tax Manager, you’ll oversee the entire tax function—direct and indirect—for the organization. You’ll ensure compliance with ever-evolving tax regulations while also implementing smart tax planning strategies. This is a key role that collaborates across finance, legal, and leadership teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax returns including GST, TDS, and Income Tax.
• Manage monthly and annual tax compliance and documentation.
• Develop and execute tax planning strategies to optimize liabilities.
• Lead tax audits and assessments, and resolve queries from tax authorities.
• Stay updated with the latest tax laws and assess their business impact.
• Coordinate with internal teams, external consultants, and auditors.
• Maintain up-to-date records and ensure robust internal controls.
• Support finance team in provisioning, reconciliations, and reporting of tax obligations.

Role Requirements

• Chartered Accountant (CA) with 5–8 years of relevant experience in taxation.
• Strong knowledge of GST, Income Tax, TDS, and tax litigation procedures.
• Experience in handling tax matters for tech/startup/Edutech companies is a plus.
• Proficiency in using Tally, SAP, or other accounting and tax filing software.
• Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage cross-functional coordination.
