Talent Development Administrator (Based in Mumbai)

Roles and Responsibilities Is familiar with the Health, Safety, Environmental Protection and Quality Policy (PL-005) and understands the responsibilities under the Safety management System. Coordinates the planning process needed to achieve the long-term planning of staff on board vessels. Liaises with vessels and manning agents in relation to the planning process. Liaises with manning agents to get nominations for the required slots and forwards them after screening to the Vessel Managers/Clients for approval. Ensures relievers are planned for the staff in time and verifies crew qualifications/documentation prior to joining. Creates, updates, and uploads crew personal files and records. Plans, coordinates, and executes crew change for Company's vessels. Handles vessel accounts related tasks including processing of invoices, checking of monthly accounts, Crew Payroll, Master’s Cash account, arrange cash advance etc. Arranges and co-ordinates crew briefing as per company policy. Handles all PNI cases to compile and collate the cost and documentation. Handles visas and ensures legislation of crew certification are adhered to. Handles flag state application and requirements. Ensures efficiency of crewing functions such as crew changes, crew sourcing, recruitment, and retention. Ensures the crewing functions are executed in compliance with the company SMS. Ensures crewing operations are in full compliance with the laws and regulations within the countries that we operate as well as the requirements of the charters. Monitors the Training Program and ensures that all crew undergo on-the-job training as per CMS. Attends the crew seminar including preparations and arrangements. Ensures that crew shall be put through a stringent appraisal process by respective vessel Masters/CE. Conducts vessel visits to ensure shipboard operations and crew living conditions are in full compliance with the Maritime Labor Convention and addresses any concerns of the crew. Performs other duties as required. Requirements Bachelor's Degree is preferred. Polytechnic diploma in Maritime Studies or Marine Engineering will also be considered. Minimum 5 years of experience working in a multinational environment. At least 3 years of experience in ship management industries is required Good negotiating skills are required. Good leadership, communication skills, and ability to manage complex projects and multi-task. Ability to deliver top quartile results in a hectic and demanding environment Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (including Outlook, Word, and Excel) with advance Excel skills Attention to detail and a proven track-record in producing accurate, quality work Strong verbal and written communication skills Must exercise judgement and maintain consistency Experience working with ship management companies operating container ships is an advantage. Experience in team leader role or supervisor of crewing operation. Excellent presentation skills Regular international travel, may occur on short notice Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment Must be sufficiently mobile to join ad-hoc meetings Must carry a mobile device outside of office hours and check in regularly Must maintain a home internet connection for work outside of office Hours.
