About the Role

Talent Acquisition Lead – New Initiatives



Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Hiring:

    Develop and execute innovative recruitment strategies to attract top talent for new business units and experimental verticals.
  • End-to-End Recruitment:

    Drive the complete hiring process from sourcing to onboarding for niche, high-impact roles.
  • Team Leadership:

    Manage and mentor a team of 3+ recruiters, setting clear KPIs and ensuring monthly closure targets of 30+ hires.
  • Lateral Hiring Expertise:

    Focus on mid to senior-level roles across diverse functions critical to startup scaling and new initiatives.
  • Stakeholder Management:

    Partner closely with founders, CXOs, and business heads to understand evolving hiring needs and workforce planning.
  • Process Optimization:

    Build scalable recruitment processes and leverage analytics to improve efficiency and quality of hire.
  • Employer Branding:

    Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to position the company as a preferred employer in the startup ecosystem.
  • Market Intelligence:

    Monitor talent market trends, competitor hiring, and compensation benchmarks to stay ahead in a competitive landscape.




Key Requirements

  • Experience:

    3+ years of proven success in end-to-end recruitment, with at least 1+ year in a team lead or leadership capacity.


  • Team Management:

    Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and motivate a team of 3+ recruiters.


  • Domain Expertise:

    Strong background in

    lateral hiring

    for functions such as product, growth, technology, marketing, or operations.


  • Skills:


  • Advanced sourcing techniques (LinkedIn, niche platforms, networking).
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity and rapidly changing priorities.
  • Proficiency with ATS/HRMS and recruitment analytics tools.



Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in

    startup hiring

    or scaling teams from scratch.
  • Exposure to recruitment marketing, talent branding, or building hiring playbooks.
  • Strong network of professionals across tech and non-tech industries.
